The aim of the handyperson service is to improve the independence, well-being and health of all older people living within the City of Sunderland.
Jobs carried out by the handymen include the following:
Cleaning guttering and unblock down pipes
Replace broken door locks and fit safety chains
Fit/repair curtain poles and change curtains
Move furniture and assemble flat pack furniture
Fit/test smoke alarms and change batteries
Fit light bulbs and clean lamp shades
Remove old carpets
Change washers on taps
Hang pictures/mirrors/clocks
Fit towel/hand rails |
